Barrier Free showers in Riverside County, California - Wet Rooms, Channel Drains and Full Kerdi Steam Showers

Online today I think there are roughly 50-80 men and women who work each day in the tile industry and come home to share their thoughts, their projects and their 'Mad Skills'.  Chad Deiter is one of these men and time and time again shows the world via the online web how good he really is.
Take a look at this curbless shower Chad constructed for this lucky family in California.

A little text of Chad's website;

"Lavish yourself in luxurious refinement. Let natural stones like Travertine or Slate transport you to a personal oasis that will melt away the stresses of the day. Ceramic Tile and Porcelain can upgrade the feel of your Tub Surround or Shower by giving you a fresh clean look."
"Chad Deiter Construction is Riverside County’s premier tile installation contractor. Whether you are remodeling your kitchen or bathroom, or simply upgrading your flooring, CDC can assist you with bringing your vision to life.
We bring years of experience to your project to ensure the design and look you envision becomes reality. Choosing from a wide variety of materials ranging from Ceramic and Porcelain to Natural Stones such as Travertine, Marble and Granite, we guarantee quality craftsmanship by true professionals who get the job done right.
We  take pride in establishing lasting relationships with our customers. We can only do that by ensuring our customers are completely satisfied every time." *

A closer look;
This curbless shower was built with Schluter's Kerdi Drain and Kerdi Sheet Membrane. Installing these premium waterproofing products require great skill and a curbless shower is a project for a skilled installer.  Linear shower drains are expanding the possibilities of large format tile and one way slope.

Notice in the picture above how Chad set the tile to the drain. Looks easy.  It's not.  Chad "Killed It" with this project and I'm sure his client is thrilled with his craftsmanship.  Nice work Chad!

If your building a curbless shower, luxury steam shower or starting from scratch call Chad first.  Get a plan. And then go shopping...

Installing a channel drain in your home

The installation of all these channel drains varies depending on the the type of drain selected and your personal preference in waterproofing measures.  There are countless ways to install these beautiful drains and we have learned some tricks from our European friends that simplify this process.

Before pulling out the sledge hammer and going at it you should understand how your home is build and what wall can or can not move.  Often European wet rooms require extra framing and changes.  Having access from below is ideal but many times it can all be done from above.

Before purchasing your drain you should understand how it needs to be installed, who is trained and allowed to do this, what framing changes (if any) will need to be done.  Your home may be a perfect fit for one channel drains product or it could be a bear to install and not be cost effective.

Send me any email if I can help with your selection. info@byanydesign.com

The many different installation systems we have used through the years are show in my photo albums online here and on my Photo Bucket page.

Access is easy and you can view my pictures by following this link.
